in Vallelunga - ANNA TASCA LANZA
Fabrizia Lanza retraces the culture of the territory through her cooking school and shared meals.
Lover of traditional culinary heritage and rural knowledge
Anna Tasca Lanza is an international center of Sicilian food knowledge. The organization was founded in 1989 as a cooking school by Anna herself and is based in the nineteenth-century farmhouse of Case Vecchie, an integral part of Tenuta Regaleali: 600 hectares of vineyards, wheat fields, and olive trees belonging to the Tasca family.

Fabrizia Lanza, daughter of the founder Anna, now runs the center. Her love for traditional culinary heritage, biodiversity, and rural know-how has led her to expand from cooking school to field-to-fork research center on food systems. Fabrizia, like her mother, feels called to harness the power of food culture in the rural heart of Sicily. Her great capacity for cultural mediation and storytelling has led her to write books and produce documentaries on local traditions.

It is thanks to her and her team that Case Vecchie has become hub to dense network of food producers, writers, researchers, and students. Today Anna Tasca Lanza is much more than a farm and a cooking school, but one of the most famous destinations in the world for food lovers. It is a true think tank frequented by food enthusiasts and experts with a passion for cultural heritage.
