Edible wild plants in the Madonie: foraging and cooking workshop

This experience will take place in Caltavuturo; here we will explore the surrounding countryside and its abundant resources with Gesualdo Faulisi, chef and expert of native plants and their uses in the local traditional cuisine.
We will go out foraging for wild edible plants and we then move to the kitchen of Alter Ego Restaurant to prepare some traditional dishes.

Calogero works as a hiking guide in the upper and lower regions of the Madonie, with VALLONE WILDERNESS. His career was born from passion: his love for the Madonie and their surroundings led him to explore even the most hidden areas. He started by sharing his discoveries in nature with friends and eventually others. Over time, he created a network of contacts including restaurateurs, artisans, and holiday home hosts in the Caltavuturo area and neighboring towns.
